Urban Wellness is seeking a dynamic and experienced Retail Assistant Manager to join our team in New Mexico. The Retail Assistant Manager will support the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance with state regulations, and delivering outstanding customer service. This position requires strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a passion for the cannabis industry.

Responsibilities

‍

• Support Store Manager: Assist the Store Manager in daily operational tasks, including staff supervision, inventory management, and sales reporting.
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and train staff to ensure a high level of customer service and product knowledge.
• Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to all customers by assisting them in selecting appropriate cannabis products to meet their needs and preferences.
• Compliance: Ensure that all staff adhere to state and local regulations regarding the sale of cannabis products, including proper verification of customer identification and age.
• Inventory Management: Assist with inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and coordinate with the Store Manager and Inventory Manager to ensure accurate stock levels.
• Sales Reporting: Monitor daily sales, prepare sales reports, and analyze sales trends to optimize product offerings and improve customer satisfaction.
• Customer Education: Educate customers on the safe and effective use of cannabis products, staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and research.
• Problem Resolution: Address and resolve customer complaints and issues in a professional and efficient manner.
• Store Presentation: Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment, including product displays and promotional materials.
• Operational Support: Assist with scheduling, cash handling, and other administrative duties as needed.

Qualifications

‍

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in retail management, with experience in the cannabis industry preferred.
• Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of cannabis products, strains, and consumption methods.
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compliance: Understanding of state and local cannabis regulations and compliance requirements.
• Customer Focus: Strong commitment to providing excellent customer service and creating a positive shopping experience.Skills: Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory management software.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in cannabis studies or related fields is a plus.
