We seek an experienced and dynamic Production Manager to lead our production team and oversee our manufacturing operations. This role is not just about supervising the production process and managing the team; it's about being an integral part of the manufacturing line. The ideal candidate will bring managerial experience and practical skills in operating production machinery, especially in creating our signature cannabis-infused gummies. This position is for leaders who are not afraid to roll up their sleeves, work alongside their team on the production floor, and ensure the highest quality of our products through direct involvement in every step of the manufacturing process.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the production facility, ensuring that manufacturing processes run reliably and efficiently.
- Direct involvement in the daily production activities, including hands-on operation of machinery and active participation in manufacturing our cannabis-infused gummies.
- Manage a team of production employees, including scheduling, training, and development to ensure a high-performing team.
- Implement and maintain quality control standards, procedures, and certifications to meet regulatory compliance and company objectives.
- Coordinate with the R&D department to implement new products and technologies into production lines.
- To meet financial targets, develop and monitor production budgets, including labor, materials, and overhead costs.
- Work closely with the supply chain and logistics teams to ensure timely procurement of raw materials and delivery of final products.
- Foster a safety, cleanliness, and efficiency culture within the production facility.
- Report on production metrics and progress towards goals to senior management, providing insights and improvement recommendations.
- Manage state reporting systems on Biotrack on behalf of the company, creating manifests and labels that are compliant with the company and the law.
- Stay updated with industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements to enhance production capabilities and compliance continuously.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Cannabis Establishment Technician + HIPAA Certificate (Annual)
- Food Handler Safety Certificate (3-year)
- Sexual Harassment Certificate (Annual)
- Ability to multitask, work quickly and efficiently, and be adaptable to changing priorities and tasks as needed.
- Time management and reporting skills required
- Software, computer, internet, and math skills are required.
- Highly motivated, self-directed, innovative, and able to work independently or among teams with keen judgment, common sense, and resourcefulness.
- Must be friendly, trustworthy, dependable, positive, hardworking, hard-working, and excellent with customers.
- Bilingual is a plus.
- Available to work on blackout dates (holidays, seasonal sales times) and weekends.
